A poultry farm in Guinea purchased a 3×1 egg tray production line with a capacity of 1,000 pcs/h to produce 30-cell paper pulp egg trays for on-farm egg packaging. To reduce initial investment costs, the customer chose natural drying instead of a dedicated drying machine. The order included 15 trolleys and 400 mesh trays, with a 15-day production time and shipment in one 20-foot container to the Port of Boffa, Guinea.

Customer Background: A Poultry Farm in Guinea
A poultry farmer in Guinea contacted our factory to purchase an egg tray making machine for his own poultry farm. The customer wanted to produce paper egg trays independently to package eggs from his farm, reduce packaging costs, and improve the stability of his egg supply chain.
The customer needed a practical egg tray production line with a capacity of 1000 pieces per hour. The main product would be 30-cell paper pulp egg trays, which can hold 30 eggs per tray and are suitable for daily egg collection, handling, and transportation.

Customer Requirements and Our Solutions
1. A Compact Egg Tray Production Line
Considering the customer’s production needs, we recommended a 3×1 egg tray machine with a capacity of 1000 pcs/h. The complete configuration includes a pulping system, forming system, vacuum pump, air compressor, and auxiliary equipment.
The pulping system includes a 1.2 m³ pulp pulper, a 3 kW beater, a slurry supply pump, and a sewage pump. These machines prepare waste paper pulp and deliver it to the forming machine.
The SL1000 forming machine uses a rotating molding surface and a variable-speed motor. With matching 30-cell egg tray molds, it can produce paper pulp trays for the customer’s poultry farm.

2. Natural Drying to Reduce Investment Costs
One of the customer’s main considerations was the initial investment. To reduce equipment costs, the customer decided not to purchase a dedicated egg tray drying machine.
Instead, we supplied 15 egg tray trolleys and 400 mesh drying panels for natural drying. After the wet paper pulp trays are formed, workers can place them on the mesh panels and move the trolleys to a suitable drying area.
This solution helps the customer avoid the additional cost of a mechanical drying system. However, natural drying depends on local weather, temperature, humidity, and airflow, so the customer needs to allow sufficient drying time and space.

3. Complete Equipment Configuration
The order includes the pulping and forming equipment, plastic forming and transfer molds, a 7.5 kW air compressor, an 11 kW vacuum pump, a cleaning machine, and other necessary accessories. The 15 trolleys and 400 mesh panels support the planned natural drying process.
Together, these components provide a practical starting point for producing 30-cell paper egg trays for the customer’s own egg packaging needs.
